What does the future of low carbon health and care look like? How can we work across sectors to develop systems, partnerships, and approaches which will protect and improve health, care for our communities, and reduce our impact on the environment?

This afternoon workshop will bring together academics from diverse disciplines, clinicians, policymakers, and civil society to discuss these challenges. Through two interactive panel discussions we will explore the contextual factors influencing low carbon health and care, consider the current opportunities and challenges, and look ahead to the future. The panel sessions will be followed by a networking drinks reception, to allow time for further discussion, strengthening of local networks, and to support future collaborations.

The event is co-hosted by the Centre for Personalised Medicine, the Global Centre for Healthcare and Urbanisation (GCHU), and the National Institute of Health Research Applied Research Collaboration Oxford & Thames Valley, and will be held at the Hub, Kellogg College, the University’s first Passivhaus-certified event space.
